アレクサンドラ（レキシー）・ハリソンは令和元年7月から長野市で国際交流員として勤めているアメリカ人です。
Alexandra (Lexi) Harrison is an American who has been working as a CIR in Nagano City since July 2019.

長野市の皆様へメッセージ

Nagano City is already like a second home to me. Its surrounding mountains are a great comfort and remind me of the mountains back in my home state of Utah.

During my undergraduate career, I lived in Kyoto for a year while studying abroad and travelled through Kansai and other parts of Japan. Unfortunately, at that time I never made it up to Nagano City. Now that I have had the chance to live and work among such kind, fun, and resilient people, I can say with pride and gratitude that I am happy to have been sent here to Nagano City!

In my free time, I like to explore the gorgeous nature that Nagano has to offer by going hiking, biking, and skiing in the nearby mountains. I am also teaching myself the kalimba and attending a local cooking class.

My work in translation, interpreting, and international exchange has been a rewarding experience, and I look forward to tackling new challenges throughout the rest of my time here.

Thank you to my supervisors, coworkers, and everyone I have met in Nagano City who has made my time here unforgettable, and for being eager and willing to foster international exchange!

長野市はもう私の2つ目の故郷になってきました。囲まれている山々を見ると実の故郷のユタ州にある山脈を思い出して心を癒します。

大学の頃、留学生として京都市に住んでいて、関西と日本の他の場所に旅行しました。残念ながら、その時に長野市まで訪れることはできませんでした。しかし、今は長野市の優しく強い市民とともに生きているチャンスがあってから、「長野市に発送してよかった」と誇りと感謝を持ちながら心から述べます。
暇である時、長野の豊な自然を探検するのが好きです。ハイキング、サイクリング、スキーを全部やっています。最近はカリンバという楽器を弾き始めて、長野駅での料理教室を通い始めました。
今までの翻訳・通訳・国際交流イベントの仕事は実にやりがいのある経験でした。これからも新しいプロジェクトをチャレンジしたいと思っています。
上司や同僚たち、そして長野市にいる間会えた方々の皆さんにお礼を申し上げます。私と一緒に国際交流の活動をさせていただいてありがとうございます！
